Ken Young, a self-taught artist, has been sketching and drawing with pencil and pen and ink from a very young age. Thanks Donald, High compliments indeed!

Ken your Stearman was manufactured the year I was born. For my 50th birthday many years ago I paid for a 20-minute ride in a similar Stearman in Navy markings. I am still up 'there', if you know what I mean. I paint very similar to you and you get everything 'right' with all the details. You are very gifted as an artist and I hope to be as good as you someday. I hope to be back for prints. PLEASE keep painting aircraft. Not too many of us are painting what we love. Your watercolor work is marvelous. I'm a real fan..........

Gorgeous. Let's fly! This Stearman PT-13D Kaydet is serial number 75-5037 and was built in 1943, one of 10,000+ "Yellow Perils" (they weren't always yellow, but there always was some peril) that taught fledgling aviators to fly.
